I spent a week living inside a restored Victorian farmhouse on the remote island of Sanday in Orkney and it changed how I see the past even as a social historian, for the first time in my life I was able to live in a place usually only seen a living museum..
Join me as I explore Boloquoy, a remarkable farmhouse and watermill brought lovingly back to life by Jackie Sinclair, together with vintage interiors specialist Dave Walker.

In this episode of Through Lucy’s Lens, we step inside Boloquoy a beautiful example of a traditional Orkney farm that has been brought back to the life from the 1850s when it was home to the Fea family. Please enjoy an exclusive house tour, exploring its 1850s living room, 1950s kitchen, dairy, bedrooms filled with family history, . Along the way, we start to uncover the story of the Fea family, who lived here for over 150 years, and the incredible restoration that brought their world back to life.
