This isn't the typical Kasparov sacrificial game where he sacrifices a piece for a massive attack but rather it shows a more positional approach from Kasparov. In this game, Kasparov willingly enters into an endgame down a pawn but with the 2 bishops, which gives him excellent compensation. He plays an instructive game demonstrating the power of the 2 bishops over a bishop and a knight.
