Official Description & Notes
Lifelong Memphian Benjamin Orgel has been part of Church Health for 17 years as a volunteer, donor, board member, and development chair. In this donor story, he shares why Church Health remains one of the most impactful nonprofits in Memphis, providing high-quality and dignified care for people who work hard but lack access to traditional medical insurance.
Benjamin’s connection began in high school after hearing a powerful story from Church Health founder Dr. Scott Morris. Since then, he has seen how Church Health offers affordable and compassionate health care while honoring each patient’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Rooted in his Jewish faith and commitment to community, Benjamin believes that supporting Church Health means supporting the people who keep Memphis running. Many patients are part of the city’s blue-collar workforce, and Benjamin views investing in their health as investing in Memphis itself.
Watch Benjamin’s story to see why long-term supporters continue to give and how you can make an impact.
