Official Description & Notes
In this lesson we'll get an intro to DACs (Digital to Analog Converters), why they're better than the pam audio that many use on the Raspberry Pi Pico, and how, for less than a cup of coffee, you can get a stable audio jack and vastly improved audio. The Adafruit PCM5102 will be demonstrated, but the wiring & code also works on the less expensive PCM5100. Wiring is thoughtfully chosen to work with the Adafruit Adalogger CowBell, which offers a microSD card (for gigabytes of sound files). CircuitPython setup code and a comparison vs. audiopwm will also be shown.
